Safety-Critical Software and Control Engineer
Santi studied Computer Science at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). His mind was set to the skies though, and thus he embarked on a double diploma with the École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC) in Toulouse. He holds both a Computer Science and an Aeronautics Engineering degree, which gives him an uncommon profile in Spain.
He has worked in different research programmes in different countries ranging from Enhanced Visualisation for the Air Traffic Control in Toulouse (ENAC, DTI, DSNA) or UAV Controllers Position Training System in the UK (SELEX SI, Thales UK, MoD).
He holds a Masters Degree in Human- Machine Interaction (HMI) and mostly enjoys working on anything related to Graphical User Interface (GUI) or User Driven Processes.
He moved back to Barcelona in 2009, where he was born and is currently living. He joined CTAE early 2010 to be part of the “Safety Critical Software” and “Robotics and Automation” departments. He enjoys practicing any kind of sports (i.e. except Badminton or Netball), riding, driving and piloting anything that has wheels (or wings, or paddles, or sliding surface, etc.) and reading Douglas Adams’ books.
