Navigation Research Engineer
Fabrizio joined CTAE in 2010 as a researcher in electrical engineering. Fabrizio's expertise includes signal processing for wireless communication and positioning, printed circuit board design, programming of low-power microcontrollers and/or high-level reconfigurable embedded systems (e.g. FPGA systems) and software programming. Currently, Fabrizio is working on software-radio positioning receiver design for GPS/GALILEO satellite navigation and terrestrial wireless signal processing.
Fabrizio has more than ten years experience as a scientist; for several years he worked for the Space Technology Group at the National Institute of Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) in Tsukuba, Japan and later as a postdoctoral fellow at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland. Fabrizio holds a MS degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin, Italy and a PhD from the University of NSW in Sydney, Australia. He fluently speaks Italian, English, Japanese.
