Aerospace R+D Engineer
Esteban was born in Barcelona and he joined CTAE in May 2007.
He holds a M.Sc. in Telecommunications Engineering and a Master degree in Aerospace Science and Technology both obtained from the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña (UPC). Currently he is studying a Master in Business Administration (MBA) and he is also preparing his PhD thesis in the field of wireless communications and signal processing. In 2009 he participated in the ISU Space Studies Program at NASA Ames Research Centre (California, USA).
His technical background includes digital signal processing, air traffic management, unmanned aerial vehicles, radar laser technologies, biometric systems and network communication protocols.
His professional career started out during his last year in university with an internship in IBM. Later, he worked as hardware and software engineer for private sector companies until he became a researcher in CTAE where he is involved in the Navigation and Communications group with special focus on Mobile Networks and Communications.
He is professionally interested in mobile networks, software development, advanced communication systems, location based services and radar technologies. His personal interests include: cinema, travelling, quad riding and flamenco music.
