Expert at CTAE
Antonio Accensi Ardit graduated in Physics from the university of Barcelona (Spain) and subsequently obtained an Engineering Degree at the Ecole Polytechnique de Grenoble (France). He received his doctorate from the University of Barcelona for work performed at the European Nuclear Research Centre (CERN) in Geneva.
In 1996, he joined the European Space Agency (ESA), at its main technical centre, ESTEC in Noordwijk (The Netherlands), where h has successively held the positions of Head of The Thermal Control Section, Head of Technical Procurement Unit in the Systems Engineering Department, Project Manager of the Biorack facility. Head of the EVA Project and is currently responsible for R&D Industrialization in the Systems Engineering and Programmatics Department.
Dr. Accensi has authored papers and presentations on several areas of spacecraft engineering and project management and has served in the organizing committees of the International Heat Pipes Conference and the European Thermal Control Conference.
Dr. Accensi is a visiting lecturer at the summer sessions of the International Space University and invited lecturer at the Master of Space Applications course of the Institute of Space Studies of Catalonia (IEEC). He also serve as advisor to the IEEC and CTAE.
