Published June 10, 2011

In the scope of the ATACCS 2011 Conference (1st International Conference on Application and Theory of Automation in Command and Control Systems) CTAE was accepted two research papers: Advanced Automation in Air Traffic Simulation for ATM Disturbances Assessment and Automation and Interoperability Challenges for Heterogeneous UAS Fleet Management. Both papers where presenting the results of two research initiatives in which CTAE actively participated (i.e. AVANT and GEMA respectively). The first paper was presented in the conference by Santi Vilardaga, a research engineer in CTAE, and principal writer of the paper with Daniel Serrano (CTAE), Isidro Bas (GTD) and Joan Roig (GTD). The presentation was well received by the research and industrial community, who after Santi's speech demonstrated their interest in the topic.

The ATACCS Conference has been organised by the HALA! Research Network (Higher Automation Levels in ATM) within the European ATM Research framework SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) and its research work package WP-E.
